On YouTube, the video is titled "Largest Star Ever Discovered, Compared to our Sun". Watch the following video for an excellent comparison of our Sun to other stars. There is no assignment attached to this video, but it is only 1 minute and 33 seconds long . . . so WATCH IT!!! The video is a clip from the tv show "The Universe". The entire science departments of all four Nampa middle schools will be attending the NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) Regional Conference in Portland, Washington, this week. We will be learning more about how the Common Core standards affect science instruction, the upcoming NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), and much more I'm sure! I will be leaving at 12:30 pm Wednesday, and will be gone Thursday and Friday (10/23 - 10/25). I will have access to my email and the PowerSchool gradebook while I'm gone, so please email any questions and I'll try to get to them while at the conference. Attached are the classroom instructions for while I am gone. Each assignment will also have an individual entry on the website. Be nice to the sub!
The following photos are from our whiteboard notes on Wednesday. Please make sure to study them and organize your notebook as instructed. Learn these notes, live these notes, love these notes!!! There is no assignment directly tied to these notes, but your Notebook Organization score depends on your following them closely.
