Lone Star will host our annual student Talent Show on Friday, December 19 during the school day! Friday is also a half day release at 12:39.
If you are interested in participating, auditions with Mrs. Hull are on Thursday, December 11 during lunch. Requirements are: no missing work, no “D”s or “F”s, performances must be 3 minutes or less, and Mrs. Hull is looking for variety! Friday Schedule:

After school Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 is Math Night for parents! If you are confused by the new Common Core math standards and how they are being taught, please attend! Topics covered will include ratios & proportions, multiplication area model, the Khan Academy, and anything else (math related) you want to discuss! Severe Weather Foldable You will complete an “8-door” book foldable on severe weather, due at the end-of-class on Mon, Dec-15. As this is also the Firm Deadline, no late assignments will be accepted. You will work in pairs to research information on severe weather, but each student must create their own foldable. A quiz based on this foldable (and other classroom activities on severe weather) will be given during finals Wed/Thur Dec-17/18. You will not be able to retake the quiz, your score will be final. Research: You will use the internet to research the 7 types of severe weather in your foldable. You will have a work session each day for five days, you may also choose to research at home. In class, you will share a chromebook with a partner to complete your research. December Pizza Tuesday is on December 9th during the 8th-grade lunch. If you would like to enjoy some delicious pizza on Tuesday, all you have to do is read a book during November and early December and write a short book report! The book report form is attached below, turn it in to your advisory teacher by the deadline, December 5th!
